District Chief Executive Inspects Nurseries And Farms In Ho West

The District Chief Executive, Hon Ernest Victor Apau, the District Director of Agriculture, Mr. Seth Rashid Asuo and other staff on 15th May, 2020 inspected 50000 cashew seedlings at Honuta Nursery ready for free distribution to farmers in Ho West. He then inspected preparation of lands for 13 acres each citrus plantation at both Kpedze Todze and Biakpa in Avatime under Ghana Social Safety Net Project.

The DCE also engaged workers at 15,000 Afram seedlings project and a total of 1.2 million cocoa seedlings sites spread over Honuta, Biakpa, Saviefe and Bame in the Ho West District. He indicated that since 2018 when Ho West District was the best implementer of Planting for Export and Rural Development in Volta Region, he has ensured progress to remain on top of these interventions.

Hon Apau stated that the distribution of Afram seedlings to save all water bodies in Ho West and other crops to interested Paramountcies under his initiatives 1 PARAMOUNTCY 1 FARM will continue. The DCE was hopeful that Ho West under his leadership would continue to progress, stand tall and all will feel the impact.

He also informed that he would inspect same project site at Avenui and land preparation for 1 Paramountcy 1 Farm for Abutia traditional Area.
